Google’s flagship Pixel 4 and 4 XL smartphones are currently on offer SIM-free with a cool £70 discount. Given that both of these handsets launched a mere two months ago, this really is an offer you can’t refuse.
You can currently nab the regular Google Pixel 4 with 64GB storage for £600, down from £670 . The 128GB version is £700, down from £760 . We gave the smaller of Google’s two handsets four stars and a Recommended award , describing it as a “Pixel-perfect encore” that improved upon the Pixel 3 in enough crucial ways to just about retain its crown as the best Android phone.
The Pixel 4 XL with 64GB storage, meanwhile, is on offer for £760, down from £830 . If you fancy more storage, the 128GB version is now £860, down from £930 . The larger of the two phones received the same four stars plus Recommended award combo as its smaller sibling ; we called it “the worthwhile upgrade to last year’s Pixel 3 XL we were hoping for”.
Both handsets introduce a second rear camera into the mix in the form of a 16-megapixel telephoto lens for when you’re simply too far away for a good shot. Both have also received a design overhaul, ditching the two-tone panel of old and binning the fingerprint sensor to boot.
Both run on the latest version of Android 10, and both feature an all-new Astrophotography mode for capturing a starry, starry night without picking up an easel and paintbrush. In addition, the new motion sense technology – Soli – lets you skip songs and snooze alarms just by waving your hand above the phone’s display.
Given how new these products are, it’s honestly quite surprising that they’re on offer for such a hefty discount. These deals will no doubt last the duration of Black Friday so, if you’re at all keen on the idea of a Pixel smartphone, don’t delay.
